Hitler was an idiot and he payed for it. Because of him, the atomic bomb was not invented by the germans, and the first fighter jets were not mass produced. They were called the Messerschmitt 262. This, combined with other weapons rejected by hitler, may have turned the tide of the war. The guy with the messed up face was a german ace, Schteinhoff i think, and was shot down in an Me 262 and had 70 operations on his face.
Random fact: By military rules, a german soldier can not belong to a political party. So, technically, none of the german soldiers in WWII were not nazis.
Skip to 3:18 for the weapons. The germans got to a lot of things first. The flying wing, the jet engine, the intercontinental missile (later used to deliver nuclear warheads). Hitler wasted all his resources and manpower on the V2 rockets. Video also shows how the germans did not get to the atomic bomb first.
Keep in mind, if the germans had a better leader, they would have won. Also, if Japan had not attacked the USA, the Axis may have won. USA would most likely not have been involved, and by the time they were, the Soviet Union might have been defeated by the combined forces of Japan and Germany, and the rest of the allies, even if the USA joined, may not have prevailed. Germany was fighting a two front war, which is one of the main reason's of their loss. The Soviet Union, in fact, could have probably defeated Germany alone. Italy and Japan though, with Germany, would have prevailed against the Soviets alone.
Random Fact: Hitler was a vegetarian.
Part 3 does not include weapons, just telling more stuff about WWII that most of us already know.
You must admit, more innovation, invention, marvels, and great things happened in the 40s and 50s than did in the next 60 years. The USA's golden days are behind it, unfortunately.
