Argenist Territories

Situated in the frozen land of Jirmushi, the Argenist Territories are all that remains of the former Argenist Empire, which dominated about 50% of the world landmass. Created and raised to its former status by the enigmatic "Twelve Magicians", or "the Twelve" as many simply call them in modern times, the Loyalists are the final faction still aligned with the remnants of the Argenist Council, first founded by the Twelve themselves before their disappearance.

As with their history, the Argenist Territories still hold major influence over world politics and trade, with many merchant families whose own histories stretch beyond the Twelve themselves. As a result the military of the Argenists, while somewhat decrepit for the majority, still features some of the most cutting-edge weapons and equipment on the planet.

Communist States of Calidria

Making their home in the cradle of mankind, Majin, the Calidrian States, or "Reds" as they're called, are the second-newest faction on the planet and have eked out a living in the hostile mixed continent of Majin. However, as a result of their tenacity, the Calidrians have access to the greatest wealth of material resources on the planet, bar none. Founded by the ahead-of-its-time teachings of Hendric Belsson, the power of the Calidrians have thrived since their establishment, marking them as potentially the strongest faction on Erutios.

Having only a few hundred years of "official" history, the Calidrians choose not to focus on their lack of a unified past and instead focus on the task at hand. As a result, they have built up many of the most well-equipped armies on the planet. Additionally, they have thriving trade routs across the world, with the planet's largest and most powerful navies to back it up.

Imperial Airborne

Hailing from Mu-Arishi, the Imperial Airborne was the first nation to emerge after the Crimson Age, separating themselves from the shattered Argenist Empire. In a mere century the Imperials united the continent under their rule by military might. Headed by the tyrannical King Grynn oc Trine and his elite cadre of magi bodyguards and advisors, the King is content to keep to himself in the Imperial Palace these days, leaving his lieutenants to manage the country in his stead.

With a major focus in air superiority, the Imperial Airborne was the first faction to deploy aircraft onto the battlefield, and the first to pioneer the aircraft carrier on the seas. Despite their technological edge, most of their ground troops have to make do with close-to-obsolete equipment from the previous generation that is in dire need of improvement or upgrade. Despite the lack of cutting edge technology on the ground, the armies of the Imperial Airborne are still a competent force to be reckoned with.

Rebel Airborne

A split-off from the Imperial Airborne, the Rebel Airborne is in the fight for freedom and liberty from the oppressive rule of the Imperial King. Splitting themselves off from the Imperial Airborne mere decades ago, the Rebel Airborne is not yet officially recognized as a full nation unto itself, yet already has pressed the Imperial forces onto the defensive and are encroaching on the Imperial capitol itself!

As far as politics and economics goes, the Rebel Airborne has just enough to keep itself floating, with most of their time and funds dedicated directly to winning the war that they had started. Despite that, most of their weapons are either captured from the Imperials or imported from other nations eager to both earn some money and destabilize one of their oldest foes in the process. As such, the Rebel Airborne, while having a large mass of bodies to fill the ranks and the small-arms to equip them, the Rebel Airborne massively suffers in the fields of heavy armor and air domination.

Republic of Sand

Formerly known as the Sand Rat Bandits, the ex-bandit group has since consolidated their power in Kanshin to oust the Imperial presence from their lands to fully develop themselves as a legitimate nation unto itself. Led by a triumvirate of three great cities situated in some of the finest green zones in the desert, the Republic of Sand is perhaps the newest nation to be introduced to the global scene but is steadily becoming a new world superpower.

While both the armies, navies and aviation corps of the Republic of Sand look rather inadequate comparatively to the other nations of the world, their technological advancement is growing at an astounding pace. This has drawn wide attention for their ability to create standardized power armor, the second nation to do so after the Calidrian States.

The Boneyard

Originally set up as a mass refugee camp for the increasing amount of sentient undead roaming the world, the Boneyard has since then grown and thrived in their own little corner of the world. An anarchistic micro-state, announced as a protectorate of Scio, the Angel of Death, there is no real ruler, or even true government but is widely considered a form of despotic anarchy as a result of all sentient undead agreeing to follow by the words of Scion for law and advice. As such, there is only one true law that must be followed by all who step within the Boneyard, regardless of ethnicity or origin, or status or wealth:

NO VIOLENCE.

The boneyard has very little say in world politics and they lack any real care to pursue it, instead choosing to keep themselves safeguarded from the chaotic and unaccepting world around them. As such, while the Boneyard has a military, it is more or less cobbled together from re-engineered artifacts from a bygone age smashed together with modern armaments, equipment, and vehicles.

Elven Refuge

The coalition of the Forest Elves in Hakari, the Refuge is governed by a council of chieftains from the various Forest Elf tribes and clans, formed during the Crimson Age as a result of witnessing the genocide and atrocities committed by the humans to their High Elf brethren and other demihumans. Overseeing Hakari and all of its needs, the Refuge mostly takes only what they need from the great forests around them, even building their homes and facilities into the trees of the mighty forests.

Attacking the Refuge is a foolhardy decision; the lack of any infrastructure combined with dense forests and jungles make Hakari a natural fortress, even without utilizing the Refuge's well-honed militia. Those that are unlucky enough to fight the militia speaks of shadows striking at them where they were the weakest and disappearing into the green mesh in an instant, and warriors strong enough to contest with the legends of the Crimson Age.

Seredium Federation

Unknown to the vast majority of people on the planet, an ancient civilization watches over them. The Seredium Federation is situated on the moon of Genin, the remnants of people who somehow fled in the wake of the Argenist Empire and the Twelve in the ages past. Today, the Federation is a democracy that possessed some of the greatest weapons of humanity.

The only human faction posessing spacefaring technology, the Federation has amassed a small flotilla of space worthy ships, the four capitol ships named the Enduring Spirit, Burning Fury, Guiding Light, and the Dark Entourage. But of course the Federation is not merely limited to four capitol ships and a few thousand assorted smaller ships; whilst the Calidrians were the first on Erutios to produce Power Armor, the Federation were the first humans to produce power armor, and now boast the most powerful technology mankind has to offer.

It is rumored that the Seredium Knights, the special forces branch of the Federation military, have made incursions to the surface of the mother planet as of late...
