The empire is governed by the Imperial Diet and Emperor. The Imperial Diet meets at regular intervals to discuss and pass new laws for the empire and is comprised of two houses. One is the House of Commons and the other is known as the House of Lords. Both are directly involved in passing of laws in the empire, but the 7 Prince Electors that make up the house of Lords are the ones who elect the new emperor. The Imperial Diet is a representation of Imperial Authority and without its approval, the emperor cannot pass any Imperial Reforms to solve the current problems of the empire.
The Empire of Avalon highest authority is the Emperor. The Emperor leads the empire and is tasked with its well being, something that has been neglected up until now..

The economic strength overall of the empire is staggering. There are multiple major trade routes that sprawl throughout the empire, yet the economy currently is stagnate. Due to the Golden Bull of 2289, the Empire has begun to deteriorate. The Golden Bull was an agreement, that at first seemed to work and benefit all with increasing local authority in the states of the Empire. Over time, with terrible emperors, the autonomy has lead to the revival of Star Nations that first formed the Empire in the first place, as well as a spring up of new star nations with no loyalty to their mother nation. This has also led to dramatic increase in crime and terrorist actions throughout the empire, with some states barring the Imperial Knights from coming in to deal with these crooks. The Knights though still are able to patrol the stars of the empire and prevent piracy as well as cropping up of Illegal stations. Various state laws also hamper trade, requiring the empire to need Economic Reform.


The Military Power of the Empire is extremely strong, if you count the forces of all the factions and the imperial Knights put together. The armed force of the empire, The Imperial Knights, have been slightly declining though the ages with decreased recruitment and inability to enforce the laws of the empire in some regions of the empire, though are allowed still to come in if piracy is detected. The Imperial knights only respond to the emperor himself and will not follow the orders of any faction in the empire. Finally, the Imperial Knights have the best wargear in the empire and is currently undergoing some new military projects to further improve it.
